Kelsie Bagwell-Melette

Kelsie Bagwell-Melette, B.A- English Teacher   

Kelsie Bagwell is a South Carolinian representing her hometown of Inman, South Carolina and an alumna of Charleston Southern University located in the upper area of North Charleston, South Carolina. Inman is a city in the Upstate Region located in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  

Inman residents have access to nearby Lake Bowen that affords water recreational sports and fishing. The city boasts a historic main street district and a school district. Kelsie is in her induction, or first year of teaching as well as her first year (2017-2018)  becoming a member of the Septima P Clark Corporate Academy English Department. On March 13, 2018 she was nominated and received the “Rookie of the Year Award”, for being outstanding and exceeding expectations and goals. Additionally, On May 2, 2018, She was one of three teachers nominated and awarded the “You Rock Award, “In recognition of outstanding contributions to academic achievement and personal growth your induction year”. Kelsie prides herself as being down to Earth and can be seen at a given time taking her shoes off during lunch, playing basketball with the students and even winning. The Faculty, Staff, and Students welcome her to her second year with our Clark Academy Family and look forward to her presence and infectious smile to brighten the school days moving forward.
