SR. Raul Torres Gonzalez

SR. Torres is a native of Spain, a country on Europe’s Iberian Peninsula, that includes 17 autonomous regions with diverse geography and cultures. He formerly resided in the Capital City Madrid and studied at the Universidad Complutense De Madrid. He  obtained his Master of Arts in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language at the U.N.E.D. in Madrid. Sr. Torres taught Spanish and Social Studies in an army school as well as Spanish for Migrants and Refugees at an Adult Education School. He moved to the United States in the year 2000 and has worked as a Spanish Teacher in the Beaufort County School District for a total of 11 years. Charleston became his home in 2012 and he has been teaching here nonstop since 2013. Having a continuous thirst for knowledge, he attended several colleges and universities in the United States to further his education to improve his English Literacy and to ultimately obtain his Gifted and Talented (GT)  and Spanish Advance Placement endorsements: College of Charleston, University of South Carolina, Converse College, Winthrop University and UC Berkeley. Sr. His most recent teaching assignment was foreign language at the Lowcountry Leadership Charter School (LLCS) in Hollywood, South Carolina. We welcome and look forward to Sr. Raul Torres coming to join our Septima P. Clark Corporate Academy Family beginning the 2018-2019 school year.
