Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Mr. Everette “Trey” Tipton, Our 2026-2027 Septima P. Clark Academy Teacher of the Year!
Mr. Tipton, a third-year science teacher, creates a dynamic and supportive learning environment built on strong relationships with his students. He consistently challenges and inspires them to reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
Known as a true “student magnet,” Mr. Tipton is always willing to lend a helping hand to both students and colleagues. In addition to his work in the classroom, he also serves as Septima P. Clark Academy’s Science Department Chair.

Our small 1:10 class sizes and dual enrollment partnership with Trident Technical College empower students to accelerate their learning and prepare for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
